Holistic Approach to Cancer

                                                                      A path to holistic healing

In 1980, physician Deepak Chopra was looking for an explanation of self-healing. When asked if anybody can claim to know the cure for cancer, he said “If a patient can promote the healing process from within, that would be the cure for cancer”.

Cancer is the uninhibited growth of specific cells of the body. When functioning normally, the immune system should be able to kill off such abnormally functioning cells. So, what’s cause the immune system to malfunction? Seldom, there is just one answer. The holistic treatment plan covers physical, mental and vital components to help reinvigorate the circulation, immune and nervous systems, and give the body a fighting chance to destroy the cancer cells.

Support to physical body

There are few ways we can support the physical body and strengthen the immune system:

Improving circulation. When circulation is impaired, oxygen and nutrients are no longer able efficiently reach the cells. Also, impaired circulation means that cell waste is not removed effetely leading to toxicity and cell degeneration.

Improving oxygen intake. Often when living in chronic stress, the breathing gets shallow and resulting in the insufficient oxygen. Ineffective breathing also impairs the circulation. Oxygen intake can be improved by breathing exercise, stress release and removing any obstructive tension in the respiratory system.

Nutritional support. Body can only circulate what we put in it; therefore, adjusting the diet and taking appropriate supplements is essentially to body repair and healing. If the body has build up toxicity, the detoxification program will become a must.

Support to mental body

Mind under continuous stress leads to immune system malfunction, thus often causing degenerative disease and cancer. Every thought and emotion produces a biochemical reaction within the body. For example, fight and flight hormone cortisol has been linked to many health issues in this chronically stressed society.

The body has limited resources to heal; if those resources are used to combat stress (priority), they are not available to deal with tumours. The Holist Health approach is all about maximising the resources to combat tumours, therefore, addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and unresolved traumatic experiences becomes a priority.

Support to vital body

The popular belief about cancer is that it is localised and needs to be treated and removed from the system by any means – like surgery, burnout by radiation, or generally combated with cytotoxic substances, as in chemotherapy. This approach often diminishes the quality of life of cancer patients because often, the side effects of such treatments become more painful and unbearable than the disease itself.

In a cancer patient, cancer is in the subtle system but manifests in specific organs. Cancer often metastasises to other organs if one organ is surgically removed, followed by radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy.

Banerji homoeopathic protocols offer non-toxic treatment which destroys cancer cells selectively while rejuvenating normal cells. The Banerji protocols have been developed on the careful observations made on a vast amount of data relating to treating cancer patients with homoeopathic medicines and clinical experience over more than 55 years.

Acupuncture is another modality that supports the vital body. It helps to unblock the restricted energy flow and, therefore, helps to bring vitality back into the body. Furthermore, acupuncture helps relieve pain and nausea when used with traditional cancer treatment.
